Why choose Saline Breast Implants?
You may be one of few patients in Las Vegas looking for a plastic surgeon that works with saline breast implants. Saline is the same fluid that goes into an IV, mainly water with a little bit of salt similar to saline eye drops. Once the saline breast implant is in the appropriate space under your breast, or pectoralis muscle, Dr. Smith inflates your implant with sterile saline or salt water. If they rupture, you will typically know immediately. Your body harmlessly absorbs all of the saline solution that leaks into your body.
Saline breast implants tend to be more firm and have a higher incidence of rippling. An advantage of saline implants is that they are more cost effective. A disadvantage of Saline implants is that saline breast implants tends to look a little more “fake”, and have a higher chance of rippling and waviness.
